I recently had an incredibly invigorating conversation with Simon Sinek, who has a new book coming out in the fall entitled Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action. It is based on a very powerful, yet simple concept that offers an unconventional perspective that explains WHY some people and organizations are more innovative, more profitable, command greater loyalties from customers and employees alike and, most importantly, are able to repeat their success over and over. Think back to your favourite professor in College or University and ask yourself: why are they are at the top of my list? My guess is that (unless you’re 25) it’s not that you remember what they said, but rather how they made you feel.
